Simek previews Foxes clash - exclusive

The Owls make the short trip down to the Walker's Stadium and will feel in confident mood following a run of results which has seen Brian Laws' team plough up the league table.

The last time Wednesday played away from home was against Coventry where they had two men sent off in the first half but the chances of anything like that happening again are remote, touch wood!

But right-back Simek believes that the confidence shown in the team at the moment should see them through the tricky test against The Foxes - and then tips Wednesday to surge even higher up the championship.

He told Footymad: "It is going to be a tough game away at Leicester, it was last season. We played them a few weeks ago at Hillsborough and beat them so we are looking to get one over them again.

"We have nothing to fear at the moment. We have some really talented players in our team at the moment and we deserve to be higher in the league so you don't know what will happen in the future but we are on a good run at the moment so long may it continue."

Wednesday will be without Wade Small who is suspended following the Coventry debacle - and he has also gone under the knife for a minor operation while serves his ban.

John Hills though will definitely miss out after pulling a hamstring against West Brom so Tommy Spurr should replace him while Yoann Folly is back and should take Burton O'Brien's place in midfield.

Glenn Whelan is also off the transfer list and is expected to retain his place in the starting XI.
