Wednesday manager shown the door?

Social media reports have been rife on Friday afternoon with speculation that Sheffield Wednesday have parted company with manager Jos Luhukay, though as yet this has not been confirmed.

The Owls have struggled this season and currently sit in 18th place in the Championship have taken just 5 points from their last 10 games.  Fans have become increasingly frustrated with performances as well as the poor results and the fact that many established players have seemingly been cast aside under Luhukay's leadership.

Owls owner Dejphon Chansiri fronted a fans forum on Wednesday evening when the position of the manager was a big topic of discussion but he gave no indication to suggest that he was about to relieve Dutch boss of his duties.

Luhukay took the job in January 2018 and has been restricted by financial constraints during his reign but this season there has been little sign of a clear approach with constant changes to formations and line ups contributing to what is currently the worst defensive record in the division.

The Owls face fellow strugglers Preston North End at Hillsborough on Saturday.
