Tonight's match is postponed again

Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City have again been beaten by the weather in South Yorkshire. A pitch inspection was conducted by a local match official at Hillsborough earlier this afternoon and the surface was deemed unplayable.

This is the second time that the match has been postponed due to weather conditions, the two sides kicked off at Hillsborough in December but on that occasion the game was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch.

The postponement may suit both teams preparations as Coventry will hope to have a new manager, widely believed to be Chris Coleman, in place when the fixture is finally fulfilled and Wednesday could well have another loan striker in the squad to bolster their attacking options following the news that Akpo Sodje will miss the rest of the season through injury.

owls-mad.co.uk will report the new date for the fixture as an when this is officially confirmed.
