Wednesday Vs Leeds: Team news & preview

Sheffield Wednesday take on Leeds United at Hillsborough on Saturday lunchtime with the winner set to top the Championship table. The Owls are currently in 3rd place, 3 points behind league leaders West Brom, Leeds are 1 place and 1 point above Garry Monk's side.

Keiren Westwood has recovered from an ankle injury that has seen him miss the last two matches but Cameron Dawson has only conceded one goal in those two games. Match winner Massimo Luongo limped off injured on Tuesday evening but the midfielder is expected to be fit to play.

Defender Tom Lees has now spent around two months on the sidelines and although he has stepped up his training regime he is not likely to be involved. Fernando Forestieri came off the bench late on in Tuesday's 1-0 win against Stoke and will hope to play a more prominent part this weekend.

Leeds will be without playmaker Pablo Hernandez and defensive midfielder Adam Forshaw but centre-back Liam Cooper is likely to be involved having recovered from an injury picked up in the home win against West Brom earlier in the month.

Wednesday are unbeaten in 3 games and have the 2nd best defensive record in the division. Leeds have won 1, lost 1 and drawn 1 of their last 3 games and have the best defensive record in the Championship. Despite the strong defensive records, history suggests a 0-0 draw is unlikely as this fixture hasn't ended goalless in the last 42 clashes.

The Owls drew 1-1 with Leeds at Hillsborough last year but were beaten 1-0 at Elland Road when they last played each other in April.
