Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones added a midfield attacking option to his ranks on loan transfer deadline day on Thursday by securing the services on Burnley’s Keith Treacy until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old is a left footed play who is most comfortable playing in a wide left position but can also play down the right side.

Burnley manager Eddie Howe is hoping that Treacy will find some form at Hillsborough as he hopes to welcome him back in the future, stating that the player has all the talent in the world but has failed to show it on a regular basis.

Treacy has made 27 appearances for Burnley this season, scoring 2 goals but he has hardly featured since the turn of the year. The EIRE international started 12 league games on loan at Sheffield United in the 2009/10 season and has also played for Blackburn, Stockport and Preston.
