Turner: It's beyond words

"Call it fate, bad luck or whatever but it's beyond words," said the manager, who is yet to win a game in charge of Wednesday.

"We totally dominated for 90 minutes and if we were at the top of the table we would probably have won by four or five goals. Gillingham will play better than that and lose.

"I can't knock the players because they worked very hard. I was pleased with the way we played and it gave an insight into how we will play. No-one can knock them for lack of effort which they have done in the past.

"I saw things I didn't think I'd see for a few more weeks and it gave me a lot of heart.

"Things will change. It's all about putting the ball in the back of the net and if we keep playing that way we'll start to score goals."
