The Owls play Preston tomorrow night after a hard training session today in the first of two games on the Balearic isle.
But Turner has warned his players that they must be disciplined whist staying in Europe's party capital after admitting that none of them are guaranteed a starting place come the opening day of the season and they must work hard.
He told the Sheffield Star: "Anyone who thinks they have a spot nailed down might just be in for a surprise.
"Certainly there is competition in several positions, from centre defence through to either flank, and that's what I want."
Many close to the club have commented on how character in the team has improved this summer and it is the best it has been for a number of years.
