We must beat Hillsborough hoodoo - boss

So far, The Owls have only won one league home game and only acquired five points from a possible twelve.

Despite a confident start on the road with seven points from twelve, it seems as if Hillsborough at this early stage of the season is not the fortress it should be.

Wednesday play Bournemouth at S6 on Saturday looking for revenge for their double humiliation to The Cherries last season - despite the men from the south coast outclassing Turner's men in both games.

But Turner believes that if the club are in the play-off positions at Christmas, they can put together a run for automatic promotion and a victory on Saturday is imperative.

He said: "Our goal is automatic promotion and getting the number of points we need to achieve that as quickly as possible.

"We need to start winning at home and where better to start against Bournemouth?

"We need to be in and around the top six positions so we can challenge the top two at Christmas time as I believe this squad of players will get stronger when our injured players return."
