Millers Vs Owls: Team news & preview

Sheffield Wednesday make the short trip to the New York Stadium on Wednesday evening as they look to make progress through to the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup against near neighbours Rotherham United.

The Owls make 9 changes to the side the started the 2-1 defeat at Preston North End at the weekend. Nuhiu impressed as a substitute at the weekend and starts in attack alongside Winnall and Rhodes. Murphy, Luongo and Pelupessy play in midfield with Iorfa, Bates, Thorniley and Fox at the back. Dawson replaces Westwood in goal.

Wednesday were somewhat fortunate to get two points from two 2-2 draws against the Millers in the Championship last season but haven't lost on their last 4 visits to the New York Stadium. The Owls did however suffer a 2-1 defeat the last time the two teams met in the League Cup back in 2013.
