Sheffield Wednesday will have to do without the services of striker Gary Hooper for a period of time as it has been confirmed this week that the former Norwich City forward sustained hamstring damage in last Saturday's draw at Fulham.

The extent of the injury has not been confirmed though Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal commented that Hooper will 'be out for some time'.

The 28-year-old has found the net 5 times this season and with the Owls currently uncharacteristically struggling to make the most of their chances his predatory instincts will be missed.

The focus will now fall on the likes of Steven Fletcher & Fernando Forestieri to get the bulk of the goals while Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao, who has recently recovered from injury will come into contention.
