Sheffield Wednesday make the short trip to Derby this weekend and really need a win to get their season back on track after 3 defeats in their last 4 matches.

Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood could return from a lay off due to a rib injury and Glenn Loovens could come back into the heart of a defence that has struggled to keep clean sheets this season. Striker Jordan Rhodes is a doubt having picked up an ankle injury last weekend, Marco Matias and Daniel Pudil will hope to be included in the squad after featuring for the academy in midweek but Jacob Butterfield will miss out against his parent club under the terms of his loan agreement.

Derby welcome back midfielder Bradley Johnson who has completed a suspension and centre-back Richard Keogh is expected to recover from a muscle strain suffered in training. Like Butterfield, Sam Winnall will not feature against his parent club due to the terms of his loan transfer from the Owls.

The two teams are level on points in the middle of the Championship table though Derby have a game in hand and will be boosted by their 2-0 win against local rivals Nottingham Forest last time out.

Wednesday’s have a terrible recent record against the Rams. The 2-1 win they enjoyed at Hillsborough last season was the Owls first victory against Derby since 2006. That away win over a decade ago is Wednesday’s only league victory at the home of the Rams since 1958.
