Wednesday start with draw in US

The former Crewe midfielder came on for Glenn Whelan on the hour and his calm finish after good work by Chris Brunt gave Paul Sturrock's men a 1-1 draw.

The Hammerheads took the lead on 52 minutes when Chris Bagley volleyed home in a game which was disrupted by torrential rain for over an hour and even had to be temporarily abandoned until the storm subsided.


Wednesday's side was Adamson, Simek, Bullen, Bourgeherra, Spurr (Coughlan 68), Folly, McAllister, Whelan (Lunt 60), O'Brien (Brunt 60), MacLean and Boden (Burton 66).
