Owls handed home draw
The draw for the 3rd round of the F.A. Cup was made on Monday evening and Sheffield Wednesday will face Luton Town at Hillsborough.
While the Owls will be thankful for a home tie against a team from a lower division the fixture against the Hatters represents a potential banana skin. Jos Luhukay's Owls are currently in 16th place in the Championship, just 5 points clear of the relegation zone. By contrast Luton are having a fine season so far and are in 3rd place in League One.
Luton are top scorers in their division and will relish the opportunity to go to Hillsborough with the opportunity to claim a scalp against the team with the worst defensive record in the division as things stand.
The tie will take place on the weekend of Saturday 5th January 2019.
