Legal challenge on much-used slogan
We're all Wednesday aren't we! A slogan that has become synonymous with Sheffield Wednesday and the fans of the club in recent years but the Owls are now in a legal challenge regarding the use of WAWAW.
An individual successfully registered a trademark on WAWAW a year ago and as a result the Owls have now applied to challenge this with the Intellectual Property Office. Wednesday are confident that the trademark, acquired by an individual who held an executive box at Hillsborough Stadium last season, will be canceled due to its organic use within the football club over many years.
